Bipolar Rollar Coaster

 Merry Christmas !

I wanted to update a lil bit on the coasters track...

Hubby is back in the hospital again and will not be home for Christmas or even New Years. His progress is steady and he is improving.

The kids are growing like weeds and are mad that we can't seem to get any snow this year. It looks like a green Christmas. It also looks like santa aka grammie and papa are spoiling them this year.Okay, i am too! LOL

I passed my state LNA board exam and have an interveiw for a full time LNA job at the County Home. This is an 11 pm - 7 am shift that would be great for me to work so i could be home with the kids when they get home from school and ect. I could sleep when they are at school. I am praying for this to work out and that i get the job!

My best buds dad Craig Miller is very ill and the Doc aren't giving him much time left here in this earth. We are all praying for him to go home peacefully and to be releived from his pain right now.

I am staying busy trying to do everything at once and be everything to everyone and I am very stressed out and even though this is my fave time of year and my absolute fave holiday, I will be very thankful when this is over!

  MERRY CHRISTMAS STREAMERS!

Kinkade Nativity

Our King Is Born!

Listen my children and I shall tell,
Of the newborn King of Israel.
esus, Son of David is His name!
Down through the years His birth was foretold,
By Holy seers and prophets of old.
Then, in the fullness of time, our Lord came!
Mere mortals could never discern His worth,
God sent Heaven's angels to announce His birth!
To shepherds on a hillside that glorious night!
Off to Bethlehem they went,
To see the King that Heaven sent!
No doubt they were awed by the wonderful sight!
There in the manger the Christchild lay,
Amidst the sound of animals and the smell of hay,
The King of Glory was born of a lowly birth.
Ah, this time was like no other,
For Mary, the virgin became Christ's mother,
And He became the Saviour of the earth!

With everlasting joy in our hearts,
We pray that you have a very  wonderful Christmas and God's richest blessings.

In HIS Love,

RED and Family

 STOP Blaming MySpace !

Anybody happen to catch Nightline on ABC? In case you didn't, one of the hot topics discussed was MySpace. It is no secret to anyone who reads the newspaper or watches the 6 o'clock news that MySpace has been in the limelight because of "sexual predators" trying to "abduct and corrupt" the youth of the world. To this I say bullshit! I see dozens of profiles a day showing 14 year old girls dressed like sluts, wearing four inches of make up and 32 layers of eyeliner, displaying their age as 18 years old and profile lines stating "Oh, I'm So Sexy" or "Hey There, Wanna Check Up On It?" Come on! The youth of today's world are already corrupt enough due to the undying need to be "older" than they really are. I seriously doubt there are tons of people on MySpace stalking "innocent young girls" who just happen to have tramped up profiles and ages 4 years greater than their own.

On Nightline, there was a story of a 12 year old girl who was a drug-addict and attributed it all to MySpace. She claims that Myspace allowed her to easily find drug dealers in her area, as well as older men to have sex with her. Now, at the age of 14, she has been checked into a drug-rehabilitation clinic and has been away from her family for 5 months. Her parents would rather place the blame squarely on the shoulders of MySpace instead of their daughter, who even admitted that at the age of 12, had already tried weed, crack, X, and had slept with numerous guys older than herself...but of course, it wasn't her fault, it was all because of MySpace.

One again, COME ON! When are parents and children going to stop passing the blame and grow up enough to take responsibility for their actions and the actions of their children.. Parent;s, monitor your children online, take some responsibility for YOUR children. Children, if a profile name sounds like something that comes out of a cheap horror movie, like "DARK ANGEL OF DEATH WHO EATS THE BRAINS OF GIRLS"...chances are you DO NOT WANT TO ADD THEM AS A FRIEND. Apparently there is new legislation in Congress now to block MySpace in all public schools and public libraries across the United States. All because little girls want to act grown and don't want to accept the consequences and parents don't want to accept the fact that their "innocent little girls" are posing as 18 year old crack whores trying to buy drugs.

Eventually, if this continues, MySpace could be totally outlawed from the Internet. Restrictions will be put in place in order to make MySpace "safer". I don't know about you, but I use MySpace to keep in touch with my family and friends, use it for messages, and just to have a space that is my own. Just because some children want to act grown, does that mean I may have to eventually give up my MySpace?

A 14 year old girl, and her mother have filed a law suit against Myspace.com(what?) because she was sexually assaulted by another user. She said he lied by saying he was on the high School football team, and THAT gained her trust. Obvisiously if thats all it took to gain her trust, she easily trust pretty much anybody and anyone. She's suing Myspace.com for $30 million because she believes myspace has poor security. WHAT A CROC! Myspace is not a babysitting service, take responsiblity for your own actions!!! What happened to her is a terrible thing and should never happen to anyone period. Where were her parents? Why are they not held responsible for what thier daughter does in thier own home? Myspace has many many ways of blocking out/screening people, some are: you have to ACCEPT the person you may or may not know as well as deny people you do or do not know, you can have certain sercurity measures added like asking for last name and email address, you can block a person, you can only associate with people you ALREADY know or simply you can NOT be on MySpace if you lack common sense.

It's about time adults take responsibility for their own children, instead of blaming it on someone else!

What do YOU think?

Update on the 'coasters track of late...

I sincerely apologize to all my fellow streamers that I have not been keeping in touch with of late. It has been a very hard and long ride here on the coaster. I have had a very winding track to go on and I am very glad that it has gone down to the slow end for a while, I hope.
Here is what has been going on. Hubby was in the hospotal for about a month on this last stint. He has had some serious problems with panic attacks and anxiety due to his spinal stenosis and the hole in his esophogus. He was in the psych ward at a very good hospital about an hour away and i was home with the kids alone and trying to hold down the fort.
He is home now and we are trying to adjust back.

I was in school the whole time he was gone and had just started the part of my LNA training where it the testing at the end of the in class book part and the start of the in the facility part. Just when he went in I started the part of my classss where i was in the Extended Care Facility with 8 other students doing the hands on care. We went into the hospital and shadowed the LNA's. After a week we then did all the care for many different residents three days out of a week.
I thought that having a class on saturday was going to be bad, but then i had to drive and hour on the highway at close to dawn for a few weeks to go and work my tail off mentally and physically. And we don't get paid ! I have never worked so hard bodily in my life. I felt just like jello when i came home at night! It was worth it though. I learned more in that month then i did in the 2 months of classwork put together. I have also never felt so needed and appriciated as i did when i walked into that hallway and went to work.
I am positive i am in the right line of work finally. I have found my calling.

I was surprized that I have an affinilty for the Alzeimers patients and hospice care. I think that I am changing my specialty focus.

I have also decided not to pursue my RN yet. I saw all the RNs just telling all the others what to do and doing all the paper work, they had little to none of the direct patient care. I really enjoy that part.So I will wait until I am unable to do the labor part and then do my RN an have whomever I am working for pay for it.

My teacher said that when we were done we would want to take some of the residents home and we would fall in love with them. I didn't think so, but true to her word there were a few of those old ladies i just wanted to smuggle out to my car and take them home with me to care for. They were so wonderful and i just loved them so much.

My LNA class had officially ended as of November 21st whem i took muy final exam and I passed! I now have my certificate and I have to take my state license exam on the 30th and then I should have my license by January!

I am so happy!

I want to go out and work right now! LOL

I am still gonna stay in college and finish my pre requisites part time anfd then take the bridge course for my LPN(Licsenced Practical Nurse) which is a National Licsence that i can use if we move back to Florida.

The kids are doing well considering.

They had a good halloween and we got some good pics for school picture day. They are looking forward to Christmas. So am I! All that time off of school to be with my family is so appealing after the last few months. Here is a slide show of some recent pics of my darlins.

Thanksgiving was quiet and we had a nice day.The day after Turkey day we went to my very best friends house for another dinner together and had a wonderful time.

I did manage in all the hectic mess of the last weeks to get out and have some time with my buds.
I so needed it!
My best bud Rhi has a sister who moved down south about a year ago and we all grew up together. She was able to come up for a weekend and we got together with some girls that I haven't seen since High School and we went to this dive bar and had a mini HS reunion. Some of us haven't seen hide nor hair of each other in almost 12 years. We drank, ate, talked, drank, danced, drank, caught up, drank, laughed, drank, played pool, drank... see a pattern here? LOL
I felt so bad cause my kids were all over having sleepovers at some of the members of my churches houses while i was out drinking! And to top it off i had to go to church and pick them up at 8 am! I crawled in my bed at close to 3 or 4 sometime.. I am not sure!LOL
I made it to church but unfortunaly for me I am theonly one of the group out that doesn't smoke and we were in this tiny bar..I was in the middle of the table of people..You get the picture? I had no voice and couldn't talk the next day! I was so sick for days with laryngitis. I deserved it I guess for my partying....LOL. What a blast though. I had so much fun. I needed it too. Here we are..But not me cause i was behind the camera....

As for christmas coming up, I managed to dupe my kids this year into thinking that Santa only lets you put 5 things on your list and that he is broke cause he has so many kids to buy for and I got the kids to make up this little list of the 5 things that are not clothes that they HAVE to have for gifts for under the tree.

My mom and I went to Target today and I knocked out the whole list in one trip! Woohoo I rock! And while they are at school next week when I have no classes I will be a wrappin freak.

I am typing this so late it is another day already. I am having one of those nights where my brain won't shut off. Oh well, i have been meaning to do this but haven't had the time.

I am glad I could catch you guys up on the coasters ride so you don't think I have forgetten ya'll!

I promise i will try harder to keep up with the coaster in the future.
