 Few things to wonder about....

Here are a few things that you probably have never thought about...

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can you cry under water?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do you have to "put your two cents in".. but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What disease did cured ham actually have?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is it that people say they "slept like a baby" when babies wake up like every two hours?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do doctors leave the room while you change?

They're going to see you naked anyway.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why is "bra" singular and "panties" plural?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why does Goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours?

 They're both dogs!

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If Wiley E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why did you just try singing the two songs above?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your ass?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride; he sticks his head out the window?

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you ever wonder why you read my blog in the first place?

 Oprah's Boot Camp

I was watching Oprah while I was folding the kids little undies and shirts today.I saw an episode I guess must have hit home with me.

I am overweight, I know that. There is a few extra pounds (Okay, more than a few..) that I would like to loose.

Since I have been off from school I am moving less, eating more and I feel generally dumpy. I figure I have gained back at least 10 lbs of the weight I worked so hard to loose the last year or so.

So, I thought, why not try this Boot Camp weight loss thing?

I went online after the show was over with my notes in hand that I took from the show, I did a good search on the fitness dude Bob Greene. ( I don't know about you,but a Total Body Makeover sounds good to me..) Not half bad.

So I have signed myself up for the next 12 weeks. Pray for me streamers! Let's see the rules....

Exercise

Basic training rules for Oprah's Boot Camp.....

You have eight workouts a week with one day of rest.
Six days a week, you do 20 minutes of resistance training using dumbbells. Choose a weight that's heavy enough to tire the muscle by the 12th rep—most women begin with five to ten pounds (Oprah's using 15 pounds for the biceps and 12 for all the other moves; the rest of the team is starting with eight). If you already weight train, go through your upper-body exercises. Try some of Oprah's favorites!
Each session includes a cardio workout. Start with 30 minutes, five days a week, and on the sixth day, double the time to an hour. But here's the trick: The more comfortable a workout is, the less effective, so the aerobics are designed to constantly up the metabolic ante. Oprah and her team are using treadmills and increasing the challenge every two minutes by raising the speed, incline, or both. The idea is to continually push yourself a little further than you thought you could go, until you get to the point where you can talk but don't want to.
Every day, take it up a notch; staying at the same level is the biggest mistake people make. Don't be afraid to jack up that incline!
Every week, extend the aerobics sessions by two minutes (week two would be 32 minutes and 64 on the long workout). So by the end of the three months, you'll be doing almost an hour a day, and double that on the sixth session.

On top of all of this, you do a second half-hour workout two days a week. This session is a combination of cardio and strength training that Oprah learned from John Travolta's trainer, Steve Maye: Every five minutes, you alternate between the treadmill and a series of floor moves: situps, squats, and biceps curls and lateral raises with the hand weights. "You sweat a lot," she says. "I wouldn't do this if I wasn't in boot camp."

Food

Extreme FAT!!!

You didn't think there wouldn't be any food rules in Boot Camp, did you? Not to worry—we promise, you'll still manage to feel full and satisfied.

Overall, eat lean protein, two fruits a day, and all the green vegetables you want.
Keep the fat low (for salad dressing, you can use a little olive oil with lemon and garlic).
No alcohol.
The main rule: eliminate the white stuff—bread, pasta, potatoes, rice—as well as candy, pastry, cookies, cake. "A few people might get evil on me," Oprah says, knowingly—sugar deprivation can turn even a saint nasty!
For the first month, stay away from whole grains (brown rice, oatmeal, whole wheat cereals and breads). After that, you can slowly add them back.
The other big rule: You must stop eating three hours before bedtime. Do just this, Oprah says, and you'll lose weight.
During the 12 weeks, you get to choose three days when you can allow yourself either alcohol (a glass of wine, maybe two; a cocktail) or some refined carbs (one piece of cake, one slice of bread, one bowl of pasta. The key word is one).

Anyone else wanna join me? We could create the " Blogstream Fitness Club"!

 The Valentine

Little Girl comes home from first grade and tells her father that they
learned about the history of Valentine's Day.

"Since Valentine's Day is for a Christian saint and we're Jewish," she asks, "will God get mad at me for giving someone a valentine?

The litle Girl's father thinks a bit, then says "No, I don't think God would get
mad. Who do you want to give a valentine to?"

 "Osama Bin Laden," she says.

"Why Osama Bin Laden," her father asks in shock?

"Well," she says, "I thought that if a little American Jewish girl could
have enough love to give Osama a valentine, he might start to think that  maybe we're not all bad, and maybe start loving people a little bit.  And if other kids saw what I did and sent valentines to Osama, he'd love  everyone a lot. And then, he'd start going all over the place telling everyone how much he loved them and how he didn't hate anyone anymore."

Her father's heart swells and he looks at his daughter with newfound
pride.. "Sweetheart, that's the most wonderful thing I've ever heard."

"I know," The Girl says, "and once that gets him out in the open, the U.S. Troops could blow the s*** out of him."

PRAYER REQUEST FROM MY DEAR FRIEND RUBY:

To all those I love,

I am asking that you please keep a young man by the name of John Gilbert in your prayers.

He is the son of a very close friend of mine and he is currently stationed on the USS Whidbey-Island which is right in the middle of the evacuation of Americans in Beirut.

Please pray for his and his ship mates safety as well as the Americans they have been sent to rescue.

 Love and blessings to all,

 Angel Alley

A young university student was home for the summer.

She had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year.

She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away.

As she walked along under the tall elm trees, the Girl asked GOD to keep her safe from harm and danger.

When she reached the alley, which was a shortcut to her house, she decided to take it.

However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her.

She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for GOD's protection.

Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped around her, she felt as though someone was walking with her.

When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely.

The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there.

Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her she began to weep .

Thanking the LORD for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station.

She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story.

The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before.

When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed.

The officer thanked the Girl for  her bravery and asked if there wasanything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question?

The Girl was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, Because she wasn't alone.

She had two tall men walking on either side of her.

 Moral of the story:

Don't underestimate the power of Prayer! GOD is always with you and his army of Angels will protect you.

Gives ya goose bumps, doesn't it?

This is to y'all who mean something to me...

I pray for your happiness, health, saftey, and love everyday.

I am thankfull for all your friendships.

This Candle Of Love, Hope, & Friendship burns forever here for you.

    W.O.W. for the day:

Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Just walk beside me, be my friend, and together we will reach eternity with JESUS in the end.
